Welcome:
Any fun and welcoming Icebreaker that gets the members moving, on their feet, where all the members can participate in. If there are new members be careful not to create a space where they feel exposed or uncomfortable.
Word:
The uGroup leader must develop his own revelation and substance around the word this will guide him/her with some thought points.
Help the members understand why it is important to pray for one another but also to have the confidence that their prayers are heard by God not because of the length or type of words used or how loud or soft they are praying, God looks at the heart & the faith you pray with as it is the only thing that pleases God.
You can ask the following questions:
- What is prayer?
- How do we pray?
- Matthew 6:5-13 (Study the Model prayer and why Jesus taught His Disciples this prayer)
- Psalm 100:4
- Read James 5:16 (NKJV)
- Do you pray for other people? Why/ why not?
- Insecurities
- Lack of confidence
- Comparison to other people
- Disappointment
- Read: Hebrews 4:16 – elaborate on your revelation
- What pleases God?

- What does fervent mean? How do you perceive fervency?
- Definition: having or showing great warmth or intensity of spirit, feeling, enthusiasm
- Does God look at how loud you can pray or at the faith you pray with from your heart?
- How are we going to step out in faith to pray for one another with fervency and not fear to pray?
