The aim is for the uGroup to realize that they are supposed to be the light in this world of darkness through Jesus' light shining through them.
Jesus has placed us in this world to reflect His light.

Welcome:
Any fun and welcoming Icebreaker that gets the members moving, on their feet, where all the members can participate in. If there are new members be careful not to create a space where they feel exposed or uncomfortable.

You can ask the following questions:
- Why do we need light?
- Explain and emphasize that it is having the ability to see in darkness. (John 12:35)

- How do you feel when you are in darkness?
- Scared, anxious, uncertain.
- Land the point that we are in a dark world where a lot of things do not go according to our plans and that we face tough times and challenges daily.
- Who is our light? (John 8:12)
- Jesus, refer to this scripture where Jesus says He is the light.
- What do we need to do with the light? (Matthew 5:14-16)
- We need to shine the light Jesus has given us in this world.
- Make the point that it is our responsibility as followers of Christ to be a light where God has placed us regardless of the challenges, we face.
- That by us shining our light, we give others the right to shine theirs.
- If we shine our light, we pave the way for others to follow us.
