Word:
Read: Matthew 26:26-28 (NKJV)
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, [a]blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the [b]new covenant, which is shed for many for the [c]remission of sins. Jesus said we must Eat of His Body and Drink of His Blood of the new covenant which covered all our sins.
Q1: What is the new covenant and why remission if our sin [the cancellation of a debt, charge, or penalty.]
Q2: Where do think has Jesus’s blood gave you remission? Do you actually understand what He did for you?
Read: John 6:53-57 (NKJV)
53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is [a]food indeed, and My blood is [b]drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides [accept or act in accordance with (a rule, decision, or recommendation)] in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. If you don’t partake in this you have no life in you, the one whom eats and drinks has eternal life and will be raised up, the person abides in Him and He the person.
Q3: How often do you do communion, how often do you eat of his word?
Read: 1 Corinthians 11:28-34 (NKJV)
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks [a]in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the [b]Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many [c]sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. 33 Therefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. 34 But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgment. And the rest I will set in order when I come.
Q4: Verse 28: Why do think must we examine ourselves not to eat and drink in an unworthy manner?
Q5: Verse 31: Is good to questions your deeds and your way of living? Do you do it?
Q6: What stuff/thoughts/events is hanging on your shoulders of unforgiveness?
Read : Luke 22:19-20 (NKJV)
